Today was a day off...and we
definitely needed it! We were able to get rest last night and the kids were up and at it pretty early this morning (I'm
really hoping the jet lag kicks out of their systems soon...these early mornings are
killing Eric and me!). We found out that we are able to get in free to the Denver Zoo because we are staying at the Ron McD House, so we decided that today would be a great day for that! It seems as though we aren't going to be able to do much on therapy days, so we are hopefully going to be able to take advantage of the 2 days off we get each week.

In front of the zoo |
The zoo was
fantastic!! Although there were a ton of people in the parking lot (and Eric and I got a little fearful as we pulled in....we don't do too well with crowds these days!), it didn't seem nearly as crowded when we went in. Cade
insisted on getting a "Zoo Jeep" that he could push Kai in, so off we went. Kai would have looked at the animals
forever - that's one of his loves! But Cade was much more interested in pushing the Zoo Jeep around, so I was happy I wasn't by myself!

Kai LOVED the lions!

We made it about 2 hours at the zoo - which was a pretty big deal for us! We saw half, and we're hoping that we'll eventually be able to go back before we leave and see the other half. But we had a great time, and successful family outings are few and far between these days! So I count today a success! And after yesterday we
really need one!

The boys were in hot pursuit of this peacock -- this could have ended very badly... |

I can never get them both to look at the camera!

I rest my case... |
God sealed the deal tonight with a spectacular surprise for us at the House - a
double rainbow!! Neither Eric nor I had ever seen one so we were
very excited (probably more than the kids!). But what a great way to end a positive day...with an awesome example of God's glory! Thanks so much for your continued thoughts and prayers!
